Ann Salazar, Principal and Facility Planner of Avant Garde, has a B.A. in Architecture from California State Polytechnic University. She is an Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects and an Allied Member of American Society of Interior Design. After obtaining her degree in Architecture, Salazar worked at firms that designed residential, commercial, and historical renovation projects, before working at a consulting firm in the auto collision repair industry in 1994.
Salazar has over the years worked on hundreds of facility planning projects. She partnered with BASF Corporation in 2001 as the Facility Planner for their automotive refinish customers through the VisionPLUS® program. In 2006, Salazar formed Avant Garde Interiors. With her background in both architecture and shop planning, Salazar's ability to problem-solve has demonstrated tremendous value and return on investment to businesses throughout Canada, United States, and Puerto Rico. Today, Avant Garde Interiors is an independent company, providing excellent services to BASF, DuPont Performance Coatings USA, dealer and independent collision centers, consultants, and equipment vendors.
Salazar was featured in trade magazines such as Winning Spirit, Automotive Body Repair News, and Fender Bender Magazine. She was also a guest speaker at the 2007 International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE).
